Where are you located and what kind of venue are you in general?

Beacon Hill Winery and Vineyard is a classic and elegant venue located in the heart of Oregon wine country (Yamhill-Carlton). With stunning indoor and outdoor options, onsite vacation rentals, gorgeous backdrops for photography, and premium wines, we offer the ultimate setting for a wedding.

Please describe your space including all indoor and outdoor options.

The Estate Garden: Our spacious estate garden has beautiful views to our vineyard and the valley. With remarkable backdrops, a gorgeous water fountain, and an arbor full of red and white grapes overhead, there is nothing that compares. This space is perfect for large outdoor weddings as it can accommodate up to 200 guests.

La Colina Ballroom: Our Ballroom is named after our beautiful premium vineyard site in the Dundee Hills. The venue has a stunning vineyard view and will comfortably seat 85 guests.

Fireside Room: Our exquisite building has an abundance of unique architecture, travertine floors, vaulted ceilings, and lots of natural light which pours into this space complete with an impressive wood burning fireplace. This space is adjacent to our tasting room and offers several seating areas and is perfect for an indoor wedding ceremony.

Do you have a preferred list of caterers to choose from?

We have a required catering list with 7 different caterers that you can choose from.

Do you offer lower rental rates for off-season months and/or non-Saturday weddings?

Our rates fluctuate significantly from high season, low season, and days of the week.

Do you have a contingency plan for rain?

Depending on size we can offer a rain back-up in our Ballroom. If the wedding is over 100 guests, a tent will be needed in the case of rain.

How long has your venue been hosting weddings and events?

Beacon Hill Winery was finished being built in the spring of 2016. We have been in the wedding/event industry for 3 years.

What are a few things that make your venue unique and/or seem to attract wedding couples?

Beacon Hill offers a view, tranquility, good wine, beautiful spaces and much more. It’s hard to find a winery that checks so many boxes.

How would you describe the importance of the venue decision for couples?

It’s extremely important for couples to visualize where they see themselves getting married. If it’s not love-at-first-sight with the venue, don’t book it. Finding a venue is like looking for the perfect pair of jeans. Touring venues is exactly same – when you know, you know.

At what point in the wedding planning process should a couple be looking and booking their venue?

If you want to have your wedding on a specific Saturday, I’d recommend booking a year or more in advance. If you just got engaged and you’re flexible with not being married on a Saturday, you can plan a wedding in 3 months (and usually with a venue discount).

What is the best part about managing a wedding venue?

Being a wedding manager was always my dream job. Weddings are full of light and happiness, and it’s exhilarating knowing I helped make that happen.

What do you find most challenging about your specific line of work or weddings in general?

I never get great sleep before a wedding. I play out the big day in my head making sure I am not missing anything and before I know it, it’s morning.

What are a few of the most important things that couples should ask their venue before booking?

1: Know all the fees before you book. My goal for each tour I give is that the couple walks out with a number in mind of how much their wedding would cost at Beacon Hill.

2: Read the contract and ask questions before you sign.

3: Understand what’s included and what’s not included.

What is the best way for couples to check out your venue online and/or set up a tour to visit you in person?

Set up a tour with me! Tours take 20 to 30 minutes and you get to taste some yummy wine as I walk you through your wedding day at Beacon Hill Winery.
