At what point in their wedding planning process should a couple be booking their venue?

A venue sets the tone for a wedding – booking it should be the first thing you do.

What is the best part about managing a wedding venue?

The best part is getting to know each couple so well and watching their most important day come together. I feel honored to be a part of each wedding.

What are a few of the most important things that couples should ask their venue before booking?

If you have a specific date in mind, please check the availability with the venue right away. Ask what is included in their site fee, what set-up hours are included, and know the rules of food and beverage.

What is your best advice for wedding clients during their venue search or in general?

Pick your top five venues and go visit all of them within a couple weeks. Do not cram all tours in one weekend or one day. You want to enjoy venue tours and eliminate becoming overwhelmed.

Is there anything else you want couples or other wedding professionals to know?

The Benson is here to make your wedding unforgettable. From the second you inquire to your grand exit, the Benson is here to help in every step. We have a team of event professionals to ensure your wedding will be everything you wish and more.
