As far as themes go…
April’s Portland Wedding Network USA event was hosted by The Benson Hotel and orchestrated by Jenn Reyes with AWE Productions. The meeting theme was a 1920’s style cocktail hour with a real couple Q&A panel.
Upon arrival, guests came through a secret passageway with a code word to enter the party. They were delighted to find a speakeasy themed evening of cocktails, appetizers, networking and education.
The educational topic featured a panel of local newly-wed couples from 2016. Attendants had the opportunity to ask questions they always wanted to ask clients after their wedding! This was their chance to get candid answers about the highs & lows of the wedding planning process, how couples chose their wedding vendors and what they may have done differently.
Super excited about the speakeasy theme, Andrea Zajonc Photography and Annie Chen of Floral Sunshine, jumped at the opportunity to enhance the experience by adding a styled bridal inspiration shoot to the meeting. Andrea gathered together a group of talented vendors to bring this 1920’s bridal inspiration to life. They honored the vintage theme by keeping the dress, hair, floral and other accessories authentic to the time period (see above).
