Wedding planning can be so fun and exciting! And for a lot of couples, between juggling multiple vendors, family dynamics, and budgets, wedding planning can also be stressful. In order to keep the wedding about what it’s really about – the couple and their love and commitment to one another – we’re here to provide some wedding planning stress relief tips.
HIRE A COORDINATOR Wedding planners (and venue coordinators) exist for a reason! Their job is to take care of organizing your day and making sure all the big and little things happen. Having a professional involved in your wedding planning process is sure to decrease your stress level. Check out our trusted list of wedding planners here!
CHOOSE WHAT TO FOCUS ON With so many details – flowers, signage, favors, napkins – planning a wedding can get overwhelming. Combat this by making a list of the top five things that you want to focus on for the day. After the fact, couples usually say (aside from finally being married!) that photography, music, food and drink were the things that had the biggest impact on the day. If you focus on these and have other people worry about the other details, your stress will be much more manageable!

DELEGATE Choose trusted friends and family to task with certain things, such as the details mentioned above. If the best man is bringing the rings, an aunt is bringing desserts, and a cousin is bringing favors, that’s so much less for you to worry about.
STAY CONNECTED TO YOUR FIANCE With all the wedding prep, it can be easy for romance to fall lower on the priority list. Don’t let it! Continuing to stay connected to your love, going on date nights, and spending quality time together will not only keep you focused on what your wedding is really about, but it will strengthen your bond going into the marriage!
SCHEDULE A LITTLE PAMPERING THE WEEK OF If you can swing it, scheduling a relaxing massage, mani/pedi, facial or other spa treatment the week of your wedding will work wonders for your stress. A little time for yourself before family gets into town and all the wedding festivities start will help center you and keep you present for all of your people and events.
SLEEP It’s a tried and true tip – getting a good night’s sleep before the wedding will help you feel more refreshed and calm on the big day!
