Tips and Advice

POP of color

Dying to bring some color into your big day? We say let the colors shine! Featuring some rich and lively colors can really bring the design of your event to another level. Whether you want to go all color and mimic a Khalo design or be very retro in accentuating with a single or duo color combo, it will be stunning.

Table Setting

Color design on the guest and feature tables will provide an overall ambiance. If it’s consistent across the space, you’re more than likely taking the all-color approach. This can be particularly fun in that there are very few limitations in this design. Your floral designer will play a crucial role in marrying the table and floral aesthetics. If you want to feature only a specific tone or single color, potentially the best way to achieve this is by adding it in small doses. Most commonly, this is done with the napkin or even candle/centerpiece elements. If your floral design and centerpieces will be your color statement pieces, the table setting choices can help bring the focus to the floral on each table. An experience local wedding planner, like Your Perfect Bridesmaid, will be able to guide your vision keeping in mind the best bang for your buck!

Another fun option to have some “living” color is to add it into your Bridal Party. The Bridesmaids’ dresses and accessories can be the color feature. Creatively including floral prints and mixing tones between ladies can be a subtle way to add color. Depending on the adventurous spirit of your Bridal Party, MUA could add a little hair chalk or colored extensions to add a little something extra to braids and curls.

Bride’s accessories

If the Bride wants to feature the color POP element, anything from the bouquet, dress to jewelry to the shoes or a special hair piece is fair game! We’ve seen some incredible hombre color gowns that have brought in color in a unique way. As long as it makes you feel exactly how you want- don’t hold back.

Featuring floral seasonal colors is often the best and easiest way to add colors to your wedding day. The floral designer you work with can really bring this element to the table in an incredible way. Most importantly, have a list of what you are envisioning. Another helpful point for this collaboration is to also share exactly what you do not want this color pop to look like. What a great way to get creative and have fun!

Color brightens our lives! Why not add a little extra to you big day? There are many ways to achieve this. Follow your heart and paint in all the colors of the rainbow.
